In the 2024/25 season German-Indonesian conductor Adrian Prabava will return to conduct the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Dortmunder Philharmoniker, Istanbul Devlet Senfoni Orkestrasi, Nürnberger Symphoniker, Orchestre National de Metz, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège as well as the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker.

Notable debuts in the past have included the production of Richard Wagner’s Die Walküre in February 2022 at the Opéra de Marseille which was particularly well received by the press, Antonín Dvořak’s Rusalka at the Konzert Theater Bern and the revival of Richard Wagner’s Lohengrin at the Slovak National Theatre Bratislava. As guest conductor he appears with Bergen Philharmonic, HR Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Odense Symfoniorkester, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Oslo Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Rundfunk- Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Sinfonieorchester Basel, and the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich.

After his great success at the 49th International Competition for Young Conductors in Besançon in 2005, Kurt Masur named him as his assistant at the Orchestre National de France in Paris from 2006 to 2009. He subsequently became the first beneficiary of the Bernard Haitink Fund for Young Talent in 2007. He also worked closely with Bernard Haitink as assistant conductor at the Het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam. In addition, Adrian Prabava also attended master classes with Jorma Panula, who became his mentor besides Kurt Masur and Bernard Haitink.

As Resident Conductor and Associate Music Director at the Theater Altenburg Gera and the Philharmonic Orchestra Altenburg Gera from 2006 to 2008, as well as appearances at the Komische Oper Berlin (Die Fledermaus; Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny), Theater Bonn (Hänsel und Gretel) and Theater Magdeburg (The Turn of the Screw), Adrian Prabava acquired a broad opera, operetta and ballet repertoire.

Adrian Prabava has worked previously with orchestras such as the Bergen Philharmonic, Deutschen Radiophilharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, HR Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan, NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Odense Symfoniorkester, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Oslo Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Rundfunk- Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Sinfonieorchester Basel, Slovak Philharmonic, and the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich.

He studied violin at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and conducting with Eiji Oue at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. In addition, Adrian Prabava also attended master classes with Jorma Panula, who became his mentor besides Kurt Masur and Bernard Haitink.
